Cambridge NCT 50th Anniversary Baby Show
Europe’s largest parents charity, the National Childbirth Trust (NCT), is proudly celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year. Without the NCT many women who gave birth in the last few decades would have experienced very different care and choice. Indeed, many children, teenagers and those in their twenties and thirties today, born after the inception of the charity, have benefited from the changes the charity has made.
Cambridge branch are celebrating the 50th anniversary in style. On Sunday 29th October 2006, at Chesterton Sports Centre, Gilbert Road, Cambridge they are holding what will be a sensational event.
Over 45 different exhibitors of pregnancy, birth, baby and toddler related products and services will be housed under one roof. This event has been aimed to appeal to pregnant women and their partners, as well as parents of children aged 0-3. Exhibitors are wide ranging, from a broad range of retailers to local support agencies and service providers.
In addition to the exhibition there will be a range of exciting workshops and taster sessions from aqua natal exercises in the pool to baby massage and music for pre-schoolers. You can tickle the whole families taste buds with free tasters of ‘little dish’ food or with a coffee and piece of cake in the café. There will even be a comfy space for breastfeeding and a soft play area to keep the little ones entertained!
And if you need a break from all that excitement, you can relax and enjoy the live Fashion Show, featuring organic and fairly traded clothes from ‘Cambridge Baby’. Star Fm will be hosting the fashion show and broadcasting live throughout the whole event. Visitors to the Baby Show can enter the raffle to win holidays to the fabulous ‘Sands’ resort in Cornwall or the gorgeous ‘Knoll House’, or any one of the other fantastic prizes on offer.
Entry to the Baby Show is £2 on the door. Children up to the age of 16 are free. The event runs from 12pm to 4pm and the first 1000 people through the door will receive a free Comfort Pure goody bag.
